With the money I already have invested in jigs and stones, I dont think I would even try this after reading more about it. I like my single stack guns to be around 2lb 8 ounces. It could be nice for disassembly and reassembly, but I'll wait till a competition version comes out before I consider it.
I have a small one that I got from lowes, under 450, I think, does ok on aluminum just have to go slow and take small cuts. I've never tried wood but assume that some of the harder varieties would be similar to get a clean cut.
I was looking at an old bolt shotgun and either had a brilliant idea or the dumbest ever.
What I was thinking about is taking 5 inches off th 28 inch full choke barrel. and threading it to take a rifled choke tube. The barrel already has rifle sights of a sort and the barrel seems well mated...
