    Here’s some pics of my progress with the blueing process and using Tru-Oil on the stock. Also added a limbsaver grind to fit recoil pad as I lopped an inch off of the stock to better fit my length of pull at about 13 1/2”.

    The Ruger American uses two of these metal “V” blocks to create metal to metal contact with your receivers and bolts. The Boyd’s stocks come with a set of “V” blocks.
