  1. PT&G

I wouldn't have been bothered had I been told it wasn't available. I was put off by the fact I was told it was in production and then told that it wasn't months later. I'm glad I finally received it. However, I had to use a dremel and carbide bit to egg the holes out to make the action screws...
  2. PT&G

So I got the email this morning saying it would be March. I got home and checked the mail. Guess what.....
  3. PT&G

I guess I'm going to keep waiting. They haven't responded yet to my reply. We'll see what happens.
  4. PT&G

Anyone else having trouble getting their order or communication? I really like their products and quality, but my most recent experience is turning out to be more hassle than it's worth. I placed an order in August, had no communication or change in status until I inquired about it in September...
  5. DIY Cerakote

Can you Cerakote me? I have nipples.
  6. Glock 20 gen 4 trigger questions

I don't own any gen 4's, but I have Zev Fulcrums in most all of my gen 3's. I highly recommend them if they offer one compatible with yours. Travel, weight, and reset are all adjustable.
  7. Refinishing M77 stock

I finally got around to stripping one of my test stocks this evening. I'll start sanding tomorrow. The red pad was pretty nasty on it. I found that denatured alcohol does an amazing job cleaning them.
  8. Refinishing M77 stock

I read an interesting article where a guy mixed alkanet oil with mineral spirits and tung oil. And rubbed it into the stock and then finished it with a satin varnish. That was the most factory like finish I've seen yet.
  9. Refinishing M77 stock

One of the tips I read to remove the varnish was to coat it with citrus strip and wrap it in foil.
  10. Refinishing M77 stock

I recently acquired an older tang safety M77. The stock is a little roughed up, but not destroyed. I want to refinish it and match the original finish and color as closely as possible. I bought a spare stock to practice on as well. I've already ordered the replacement grip caps and buttons too...
  11. How to remove paint from a wooden stock ?

A little off topic, have any of you stripped a Ruger M77 stock and refinished it to match the original red tinted finish? I bought a spare stock to practice on.
  12. DIY Cerakote

I'm kicking around the idea of getting a cerkote setup, strictly for personal firearms and what not. I'm going to get a middle of the line blast cabinet and a used kitchen oven for just this purpose as well. I've done plenty of powdercoating over the years, and the process seems pretty similar...
  13. Best bluing gunsmith in Atlanta &columbus area?

I'm not 100% sure. I know I spoke to him about 8 months ago, and he was still working. He may have cut down on how much he takes in. I don't know for a fact though.
