Looks pretty similar to me 🤷♂️,
But both the 720 and Model 11 where clones of the browning A5 so I would say the forends could probably be swapped fairly easy the most drastic differences that I know of are related to shape and length of the tang where it butts to the stock, the stocks are less...
Thank you! It's definitely one of my favorites. It's one of my bucket list firearms that I never thought I would own. I figured the closest I would get would be a clone but this one is an actual 03-A4. It has the correct offset markings on the receiver.

Yes, similar velocities to 6.8 but it still uses a standard size AR bolt. It can also be loaded with heavier bullets to get similar performance to 300 black but It really shines with 85 to 110 grain bullets at supersonic velocities. My favorite load for it currently uses a 90 grain speer tnt...
The only hand lapped barrel I've had is the .277 Wolverine barrel I mentioned earlier. Definitely seems accurate and very easy to clean. I also have a Ballistic Advantage barrel that has been a bit disappointing in accuracy. Would something like the Tubbs Final Finish system be worth looking...
I've considered an AR 10 build myself off and on but I keep asking myself if I really want to reload for another caliber. Lately I've been enamored with an AR in .277 Wolverine. The barrel is by Mad Dog Weapons Systems, I think they start around $300 but I ended up getting a good deal on it...
What's the practical advantage over any of the other brands? I've only had a Garand that had a criterion barrel and it shot well, I'm not sure if it was any better than the rifles I've shot that had GI barrels though.
I think you should be fine to drill all the way through as long as the screws don't patrude past the bottom of the hole into the action.
I'm not a gunsmith though. All my marlins have the scope mounting holes all the way through the top of the action
Started with this, threaded it, and decided I didn't like the camo...
And here's where I'm at now...
I may have to hit it with a little citristrip to get the last stubborn bits of paint off, then maybe a little 000 steel wheel in a few spots. Is it worth the $800 I've invested in it? It's...
Ended up 1/2x28 with a threaded sleeve to bring to 5/8x28. I plane on adding the detent back to the front sight and getting rid of the crush washer but it works until the parts come in the mail.
I've thought about maybe threading to 1/2x28 then adding a shoulder less threaded sleeve to bring it back up to 5/8x24. It is a 7.62x39, so wall thickness would be a little thin. I'm not sure what would be the best way to keep the threaded sleeve in place would be. Maybe something like locate...
