  1. New Project Savage 720 (Browning copy)

Just damn. Did he leave it in the trunk of his convertible for twenty years? In for the progress pics.
  2. what's more cost effective? turning a barrel or installing new barrel?

Not sure what is cheaper but I suspect machining the heavy would impart stress into the metal and have a less than desirable outcome. I could be wrong, I am not an expert by any stretch.

  5. help with old shotgun

Do not shoot that again. Even light loads can be too much for an old scatter gun. The only way to repair it is to remove the center rib, weld it, shape it, then re-solder the rib and barrels. Would cost more than three of those guns are worth. They still look cool hanging on the wall.

  14. Refinishing rusty rifles

Might not be worth the $$ to do it. Just depends. Re blueing can run well over $200.00 each depending, lever guns even more. Old shot guns usually cant be re blued the rib is soldered and will come off in the tank.

Can't wait to see the finished product J. Since I got my Springer done up I have been thinking of doing what you are with a stainless model. One difference I am going to try for a "Black Chrome" look on all the controls, now I just need to find the Stainless 1911 to make it happen.
