Never tried vinegar. Almost all the time I have used naval jelly it turns the surface black and then it is paintable. However I used some once on a speck of rust on a piece of an M1 trigger assembly and it turned it bright gold!
Used a lot of it on this tractor.
The only solution that works: Agree with your wife to each have a weekly or monthly allowance for 'mad money' then each can save his/her own and buy what they want when they want it with no regrets and no hard feelings. Tested and proven.
Should have mentioned I have a good many 45 rpm records, classics from the '40's and '50's, Glenn Miller, Jackie Gleason, Hollywood Bowl Symphony Ochestra, Four Freshman, Susan Hayword (Star who married a guy from Templeton/Carrolton), Frank Sinatra, and others. Sold all my LP's I think.
