Yup. Found that out the hard way. Tore up a nock. Good thing is the archery shop local has the Gold Tip .246 nocks for .50 a piece so I got a few. They pull out with hand pressure - no glue.
55lb bow shreds the fletching off the shelf. Bought a relatively cheap (chinesium) fletching tool off Amazon and some feather fletching. Online they were electric blue and Kawasaki green. They got here and now I have Joker arrows. Oh well, I think they turned out decent.
Nice, thanks guys. Picked up my 55lb recurve after about a 15 year break. My son is doing archery class for homeschool co-op, so I figured I'd get the bow bag out and join him.
