Nice. Its a monster. Etowah is the best kept secrets in North ga, as kids we were scared to get on the etowah due to the generating schedule, they didn't post it and the horn wasn't usually heard.
I could see if someone was needy (hungry) to feed the family, but taking the largest of a species by no telling how many thousands of fishermen depletes the oceans of fish. But I guess it's the commercial fishing doing or has done the most damage to the ecology . Same thing with land dwelling...
@DinkyDau May be able to point you in the right direction, he lives in your area. I've heard good things about lake blue ridge, but never fished it. Some of the North ga guy's will chime in.
Some call allatoona the "dead sea", but from my past experiences crappie fishing in the spring can be a blast on the "toona" . Try creeks and coves and almost any jig will work when the dogwoods start blooming.
