Kayak Fishing Thread
I’m in central Florida on vacation at my mother’s winter home and got ahold of my brothers kayak. My first kayak fishing experience and what a blast!! Been catching a ton of 1-2lb bass and got this nice 4 1/2lb one tonight on a wacky worm. -

Better late then never but I grew up in Cadillac and have fished that river my whole life. What a small world seeing pics of nice salmon from up there on here. I’ve caught hundreds of salmon and trout out of the big and little manistee rivers. Nice fish. -

Ram mount

I’m from the shores of Lake Michigan and drew up fishing the big lake so I use the same techniques that we use on the big lake. Even brought my 21ft Lund down finally and fish it with electric downriggers and planner board. -

I troll the main lake channel from the dam to cut off that takes you the hatchery mainly holding to the left side of heading north but my best months are July and August. Trolling watermelons colored spoons 20-30ft down. -

I have caught some nice walleye out of those lakes also. I crappie fish up there a lot in the late winter and early spring but have never caught a hybrid. I’ve heard they are there but have never caught one and we fish with medium to large minnows when crappie fishing from about feb to April up... -

We get them in the summer on Lake Michigan but up there they are a open water fish found in 20-40ft of water. Caught these last month up three. -

We eat sturgeon eggs from lake Winnebago in WI. I get up around there and in the winter they have a short season where we spear the sturgeon through the ice.
