Two weeks ago was probably my personal best fishing achievement ever
1 and 1/2 hours to the pier & 1/2 hour to gaff and put it on the pier
All unassisted till I got someone to photograph for me
Bowfin are considered a trash fish & I don’t get it
I’ve caught a few - None of them wanted to come into the boat - Powerful Prehistoric Monsters - A 10lb one I caught was a greater fight than any freshwater fish I’ve ever boated - Mangled a Balsa Bagley - I think the record is around 20lbs...
I’d have to see the other side of the blade to know for sure but I’d say that’s a knock off of a rooster tail — it looks like a old Kmart store brand or the like
In a survival situation I’d choose a Mepps Aglia or Rooster Tail over any other artificial bait
ill be in s.c. on santee cooper the first of october - i hear the bream and catfish are doing well at that time - ive got a lake map on the way from ebay - anyone here on odt have any first hand knowledge for this body of water ? if so help me narrow this thing down please -
