  4. Great Story

+1 for Atlas Shrugged. My mom was a librarian. She taught me to read when I was VERY young. My parents were called to a meeting at school when I wad in kindergarten. The teachers were concerned that I was reading and suggested that when I picked up a book, they take me outside and throw a...

  6. I need a pro chimney recommendation recommendation

A Combination of damage and lack of steepness causing debris to collect on the roof causing other issues. Believe me, I was the last one to agree to this $olution.
  7. I need a pro chimney recommendation recommendation

I am reroofing my old house. Part of the deal is we are re-pitching the roof and doing gables instead of hips. The existing chimney needs to be raised by 10 feet. Who do you like?
  8. I need law advice. Anyone a lawyer?

The OP hasn’t shared enough information to know. If it is a criminal act, why hasn’t he filed a police report? If he wants his stuff back, criminal charges would certainly provide the incentive. Anyone can sue anybody for anything. But for what purpose? The OP hasn’t shared
  9. I need law advice. Anyone a lawyer?

If this is an employee with a fiduciary duty then it would be embezzlement. A thief isn’t going to admit they stole sh*t. At least not without considerable leverage. What is your evidence? What do you hope to accomplish?
  10. Propane vs Natural Gas

Natural gas! I used to bitch about the ng junk fees. At my new house ng is not available. I inherited a 250 gallon tank when I bought it and upgraded to a 1000 gallon tank when we got a whole house generator. Aside from the purchase price of the new tank and the cost of pouring the slab for...

  12. Anybody had a Goldendoodle?

I worked k-9’s in the military. Check out the Great Pyrenees. Definitely not a scary looking dog, and a very effective protector.
  13. Hamburger meat

Step up your game. Buy a deep freezer and buy 1/2 a cow @ 4ish dollars a pound. Better meat, quality, taste, and price.
  14. Got a seat belt ticket BUT….

Long story short. I gave a car to a family member. They drove the car for a bit before registering it. Their friend was the driver and they got a ticket for no seat belt. The registered owner got the ticket. Spin the wheel. The driver should get the ticket. The owner got it dismissed.
  15. The damn car bidness...

Excellent advice. They love to throw all the add-ons into the garbage heap of the monthly payment. Force them to give you an OUT THE DOOR PRICE. If they won't do that. It is time to talk to a manager or walk. Oh and never give them your drivers license or anything you must get back in order...
  16. Gun rights for all........

I think it goes way further than that. Stepping off topic for a moment. We have squatters upheld as having rights they do not have, and requiring the owners to evict them as if they were legitimate tenants. Back on topic. We have citizens in places like New York city prohibited from carrying...
  17. Gun rights for all........

So if you can’t legally get a gun because you are by statute prohibited from possessing one, that’s unconstitutional, and they can’t prosecute you for carrying/possessing/discharging it illegally. But if you are a citizen in say California where the state statutes by law, prohibit law abiding...
  18. Tie your ladders down in back of your truck and wear your seatbelts.

If you wren’t camping out in the fast lane, I wouldn’t have to drive around you
  19. Inflation

They’ll say inflation is ‘transitory, then they are forced to admit the national debt is going up by a trillion dollars every 100 days. Thats 10 billion dollars a day. When the government ‘monetizes the debt’. The printing of money dilutes the value of the currency. ie baby steps toward...
