    Had one show up wanting to trade when we had already agreed on a cash price. Met in a one red light town on a Sunday. He had to go find an atm, never brought the cash with him but luckily there was an atm nearby and we got the deal done.

    Sell the mcdonough home, put that equity towards the farm. Get the farm. Assuming the underwriter thinks you can still afford two mortgages....which more than likely you can because you are doing that now. Then sell the lake house before the two year rule is up and use its equity to refinance...

    Yet I know folks who claim to be broke and are worth millions, its that mentality why they have millions. No offense, but a college age student shouldnt need to call daddy to move money from their checking to savings, its literally a couple clicks when they logon to their bank site.

    I don't know how long it last though. state farm use to offer temp health insurance, I got it once between jobs but they no longer do. And it was never anything you'd renew or have an open enrollment for. Just temp. I was single back then and premiums were what they would be if you didn't have...

    Still waiting on my 2500 a year savings, lost my dr too, took him about 5 years to start taking my insurance again. I already told my boys, if you wanna go into business for yourself, marry a teacher and get on their state plan for cheap, plus they have great retirements.
