  1. Had to put my Yorkie down yesterday

As we say goodbye to our friend and companion to end their suffering, we know it is the right thing to do. It is then that our pain and suffering begins. We recently made the same decision and put our great buddy down as cancer had set in and surgery could not guarantee anything. We are so...
  2. Wish me luck....

Congrats, Dad! (You are gaining the son(in law) you always wanted!)
  3. Tie your ladders down in back of your truck and wear your seatbelts.

Glad you were able to get out relatively unscathed. Anytime I drive south of Cumming, I get white knuckled. So many idiots zipping from one lane to another to get there 10 seconds earlier! How some drive it day in and day out - you can't become numb to it - can you!
  4. My worse nightmare

Thankful you and family got out. Hurts to have the lose of the pups. I am sure a lot of memories and memorabilia were also lost in addition to firearms.
  5. Never lose hope

    Good for him!
  6. Could you turn off your phone and walk away from the internet

Phone, not so much, but computer - yep! I did realize that I was spending way too much time on the computer (they say that acknowledgement is the first step!) and decided to shut it off and walk away. Did just that. Longest 10 minutes of my life!
  7. To All of You, my ODT's Brothers

    Indeed.
  8. Friday night buzz kill

Sorry to hear of your loss, I know it is a gut punch for you and your family.
  9. Unbelievable

So sorry to hear that turn of events. Wishing Kim, you and the family the strength and determination to see through treatments.
  10. F. W. Woolworth's lunch counter menu 1970 - WOW!!

Any of ya'll ever dine in one of the facilities that had everything in a vending machine? Insert coins and a tray would rotate and you open the glass door to retrieve your selection. Might take 4 or 5 doors to get an entire meal. A specialty restaurant in 1950s Pennsylvania delivered all...
  11. ****ing medical "professionals."

Sorry you experienced that. I have met some terrific health care providers (including two docs that personally called me after a procedure to check on me), but I am afraid those folk are few and far between, being replaced by zombies in scrubs. Prayer for you and your family.
  12. Grandson is a hella wrestler!!

    Kudos!
  13. TN deputy missing after driving into river with subject in back seat

Kinda like the woman left handcuffed in the back of a cop car that was on a railroad tract. Great timing. A train came thru and a cop just left it on the tracks. It was a miracle the prisoner survived. I don't know about the cop's job surviving.
  14. Unbelievable

Prayers continuing thru chemo. Depending on the drug(s) used, she may need some recovery time after a session. A positive attitude is very therapeutic. God Bless.
  15. TN deputy missing after driving into river with subject in back seat

Can not confirm it was the Deputy's car (but it did have a handcuffed female in the back seat.). Any one see a negligent homicide civil suit in the near future.
  16. Did you really think it would last?

Congrats to the two of you! You have set a fine model for your children, grandchildren and friends to follow!
  17. 45 years

Congrats Tazz and Mrs. Tazz, you are a rare breed! My wife and I are creeping up on #48.
  18. Unbelievable

I can certainly appreciate what you have gone through. So glad the surgery was successful and hope follow up treatment does its job.
  19. Lost a cherished friend tonight

Sorry for your loss. A big chunk of you is now missing and it hurts.
