@OttoMan can you please elaborate as to why you say the installers did a "shyyti" job? While I certainly agree with you I would like to hear your reasoning. From a layman's perspective it certainly does appear that the quality of the workmanship, from the installers, is very shoddy. Can you...
I do believe that you are right, I did not go out there today because I worked last night, and it was hell. I just texted my friend who owns the house and was there and she says that he replaced the pipe.
I guess it will be up to her homeowners insurance to sort it out.
Sue to have the unit properly repaired, I'm not an expert, but I'm fairly certain that wrapping a cracked pipe in tape is not code. I guess the final determination will be made by the insurance adjuster as to whether the damage was caused by improper installation or just poor engineering.
I can...
Condensation accumulating when the heater is in use? I know when I had a new unit installed a couple of years ago they also installed a pump to pump out any condensation, did they not have that in place here?
That was the repair from the company that installed the unit. An insurance adjuster is coming Friday to review the damage and do and estimate, then the company will be sued in Magistrate's Court for repair cost.
Are any ODT members on here licensed HVAC specialists? I have a friend who's AC unit is leaking through her ceiling; Her house and AC unit are only 2 years old! I went into her attic to look at it and I was shocked at the poor quality of the workmanship. I do not think it was properly installed...
We do not give referrals to dentist, but most of the time they get pain meds and antibiotics, which is what they are really after.
Had a guy come to the ER a few weeks ago for a Herpes breakout, he just wanted a prescription for Acyclovir. People use the ER as their primary care doctor, so...
If I was to go to an ER in Macon in would be Coliseum Northside, followed by the Coliseum. If Piedmont has any sense whatsoever they will retain Micheal Dykes as the ED director over the Coliseum's ED, because he is good and very respected by his nurses. The fastest way to lose nurses (other...
Yep, now most hospitals that require the vaccine are offering "medical and religious exemptions" to retain employees. Why do you think Piedmont is offering a $30,000 sign on bonus for nurses?? If you look on the Houston Methodist Hospital's website that fired the nurses for refusing the vaccine...
Lots of reasons...
Most get there 2 years experience and then go Agency for double the pay and the opportunity to travel the country. Some go find an easier job in another department or at a doctors office because they are tired of 12 hour shifts and want to have a life; most have children that...
The wait times in Macon are due to severe staffing issues, Navicent had 5 ER nurses resign in one week alone; the assistant ER manager turned in her 2 week notice, well about 2 weeks ago. If you have ever worked an ED, especially one in an area like Macon you would probably have a better...
I would recommend Dr. Brian Dawson of South Georgia Medical Center. I had an emergency situation one Sunday night that needed a neuro consult and called Navicent, Emory, Atlanta Medical, the Coliseum, etc. and no one had a Neurologist on duty. I got his number from another nurse, who's wife is a...
If you feel that your wife needs Aducanumab then you are better off expressing that to her neurologist, and have him, or her, explain their reasoning for not prescribing it. I can assure you that your neurologist is far better equipped to answer your questions than ODT members, especially...
I'm seeing more and more overdoses and drug abuse coming into the ER. I had to 10-13 a 14 year female this weekend, they brought her in via EMS for methamphetamine abuse. I hit her with 4mg Ativan and it didn't even slow her down because she was so wired. She told me she has been doing cocaine...
