    No doubt they're still around. Been a bunch of folks go missing in the Mulberry river. I actually grew up with some of the kin folk so to speak right outside winder in Campton Ga. New some of them quite well. My daughter and her husband just got a new rooster they named Billy Sunday Bird :becky:

    I popped an 8 point a couple years ago with some 45-70 Hornady just like that. Knocked it completely off it's feet like somebody hit it with a sledge hammer. Love my Marlin 45-70 GBL!

  11. UPDATE JUST WENT Disappointed in our current planned trip to the Gulf where we have gone for the last 20 years

    Like you, my family and I have been going to that area for 20 or more years. Love Indian Pass, mexico beach, Por St Joe, St George and Apalachicola. The rental prices on beach houses have gone through the roof the past few years. We're going again this year in August but if prices continue...

    We got a lot of water the last few days.

    I've got a big creek bottom behind my house that has a normally 8 ft wide creek running through it. During all the rain that bottom looked like a 2 acre pond, couldn't even tell where the creek was at.

    Oh, one more. Me and my nephew was catfishing in a tournament and he set the hook on something and reeled in a pound puppy stuffed animal, guess a kid had lost it. He was a fat kid and hollered he caught a fried chicken breast

    2 things I can think of that happened in my boat 1-catfishing in Sinclair at the powerplant when it was still there, had a good bite and set the hook, felt something heavy but not pulling like a fish. Reeled in a big ass honey baked ham still in the package. Don't have a clue how it got there...
