Buy a S&P 500 ETF and ignore it until you need the money. Or if you want to be more active/gamble, I think bank stocks are taking it on the nose right now, and are probably marked down more than the actual risk.
I had it for years. The one time I tried to use it I got nothing but ‘the truck is en route’ for 5 hours until I cancelled and called an independent truck for cash. Never again.

You forgot 5.) The best deals are individuals walking around selling their own guns. There is a reason that you'll see a pack of old dudes clustered near the entry talking to everyone walking in the door.
I don't know about your neighborhoods, but where I'm at the prices haven't dropped at all. The houses are on the market for longer (think 'normal' periods), but the prices are the same or slightly higher. Given the demand for good northern ITP neighborhoods I don't see them dropping anytime soon.

I've got an olight Baton3 (1,500 lumens, $70ish) and Seeker (4,200 lumens, $140ish) and I'm very happy with them. Both rechargeable, and I like the magnetic charging cord. Both have good lifespans, charge indicators, multiple light levels, and an intuitive process to switch between the levels...
I don't think so. They wouldn't use something chrome plated for that - it would wear off far too quickly.
The only reason to chrome plate it would either be for looks or sanitary reasons. Since the rest of the tool isn't designed for appearance, shredding cooked meat is the most likely answer...
Can you prove it beyond a reasonable doubt? I'd talk to a real estate attorney. (Did you have one at closing? If so, who were they hired by? If your realtor or seller I'd look for someone else.)
