    I have seen the RCR, Acro P2, and 509T a few times at the range, but I was teaching and never got the chance to try any of them out. I have always been a Trijicon fan, but generally stay away from RMRs because of the bottom load battery, even though the optics are solid.

    Never tried a MPS as of yet but have read up on em a bit. Quite a few reviews I have seen indicate the battery life is abysmal (90 to 120 days). Have you had any such experience?     Best hunting scopes for under $1000

    Leupold VX5 HD (magnification level is fielder's choice, but I favor 2-10). Last one I picked up was demo unit from EuroOptic and it was 759.99 plus tax and shipped free (if memory serves).
