  1. For all us diabetics out there.

This simple statement keeps me going in the right direction. Every time I want something bad I remind myself of it. It really does help. "Eat to live, don't live to eat." Food is nothing but fuel.
  2. Smoking cigarettes

I have consulted with my doctor... as I puffed on a vape in her office. She did not object.
  3. Smoking cigarettes

    What evidence? Link?
  4. Smoking cigarettes

It's really not as bad for you. Any smoker that started vaping and put cigarettes down can testify to that within a few days of the switch.
  5. Smoking cigarettes

Of course you shouldn't vape if you don't already smoke, but this is a stop smoking thread. So which would be better? Start vaping or just continue to smoke cigarettes?
  6. Smoking cigarettes

This is the only report of a bad negative effect I have ever heard. Even doctors have said it's a very positive alternative to smoking.
  7. Smoking cigarettes

Go back and read my post #25. The whole idea is to not really feel deprived at all. Get one of the vapes that can create just massive clouds and use high levels of nicotine and USE it. Don't hold back at all. Once you've got that going you can just skip the cigarettes and still be satisfied...
  8. Anxiety

Folks, when there is a real chemical imbalance in the brain that causes the problem there's nothing mysterious about the fix. Restore the balance. The problem occurs when they try to fix it when nothing is wrong. Unfortunately that does happen, but that's on the doctor administering it. When...
  9. Anxiety

First, find out if it psychological or brain chemistry. Much of it is actually brain chemistry and has little to do with the way you think or what's happening in your life. The good news is that it can very effectively be treated with medication. Get it right and it just brings you back to normal.
  10. So up to 6'2" 340 now. Ordered the Nutrisystem 7 day a week plan (Didn't work. I couldn't stick to it.)

Look into Factor Meals. Much higher quality and most are quite tasty.
  11. What are you doing for acid reflux?

Did you slowly reduce the dose or just quit taking it?
  12. What are you doing for acid reflux?

Prilosec once a day and don't have to worry about it any more.
  13. Covid After Affects

Strange. I got weird sick last year, but two Covid tests came back negative. Reading this thread has me thinking I probably did have it. I've been getting randomly "swimmy headed" (loss of equilibrium to varying degrees) and have also smelled strange chemical smells when I'm sure there was...
  14. Smoking cigarettes

I just did. See post #25.
  15. Smoking cigarettes

Slowly lessened nicotine is one of the key elements. Most people try to do that much too quickly and end up craving the real thing again. They also don't smoke the vape enough. The mind set is that the reason they are vaping is because they are trying to quit, so they should use the vape as...
  16. Smoking cigarettes

If you or she is interested I can give you details of how to quit using ecigs. That part about her enjoying smoking is probably the thing that made it most difficult for me to quit. People make mistakes when trying to quit using ecigs. I sure did, but I figured it out and it worked. I smoked...
  17. Smoking cigarettes

Vape! It really does help. If going cold turkey on nicotine does not work for you contact me and I'll explain how I was able to quit by trimming down on the amount of nicotine in the vape over a number of years. That was after 35 years of smoking and trying everything else. I have been nicotine...
  18. Any former smokers on here?

Keep doing that and it's going to come back and bite you in the ass eventually. If you can quit, quit completely and forever.
  19. Any former smokers on here?

If you must, use a Vape with zero nicotine. It will somewhat satisfy the urge without physical readdiction. This is the only way I was able to quite... but it worked. I can make a recommendation for which one if you like. Not all vapes are equal and in fact, most suck. A good one makes all the...
  20. Cardiac Ablation

?? SVT is better? A heart rate of 200 beats per minute is not sustainable and will kill you without treatment. People live for decades in continuous a-fib as long as they are on blood thinners. My dad was in A-fib the last 20 years of his life. I've never had to call an ambulance due to a-fib...
