That's an incredible pic, especially since you can't really "set up" for something as spontaneous as that.
I suppose that what "Burst" mode is for. Or possibly, he has one hell of a video camera and took a frame from the video, but that would be one hell of a video camera.
A few pics from Cades Cove today (and just outside Cades Cove)...
The last one was a long way off. A momma bear and three cubs, but one is hidden behind the momma.
Rich Mountain Road is now open, but we didn't see squat on that road.
A couple of pics from Fort Mountain State Park today.
We saw our first Bear of the year in the State Park. It's been a while - since late July of last summer.
Julie spotted a couple of holes in a hillside, thinking they may be dens dug out by the resident bears. I can see that. It...
No, but that looks very familiar for some reason. Come to think of it, that location might have been a pic posted here on ODT a few years ago. Maybe somewhere on the far upper Etowah River?
Thanks! It was busy, but less than I expected, prolly because it is Easter weekend.
There was a ton of new tress down around the Cove due to high wind earlier this week.
I think Black Rock mountain is the highest elevation in any of Georgia's State Parks. We visited there a couple of years ago and it was nice.
I have not been to Brasstown Bald in years. I need to take a trip and get some pics (on a clear day). :)
A few random pics taken today...
The most amazing thing is this picture taken in Paulding WMA. Proof positive that bottles can actually grow on trees (unlike money). :)
A meh shot of a Redtail Hawk flying around:
And the best pic, Violet the Wonder dog. She alerts me if there is a...
Jimmy can answer far better than I, but I can tell you from the little I've learned that for my "entry level" mirrorless, there's a ton of lens "form factors" out there when it comes to lenses, especially when you consider camera vs. lenses over a long period of time.
There are some new and...
That is good quality on your phone camera, no doubt!
JimmyJet's, too.
I have a "beginners" grade mirrorless and have done some amount of experimentation with priority modes. A slower shutter on waterfalls makes for a cool effect.
I showed one of them to my Dad back last Thanksgiving, and he...
I dunno. :)
The full model is: Canon RF-S18-150mm F3.5-6.3 Lens. It's pretty new, and certainly not top shelf photography grade, but it does capture a lot more than the mid grade zoom lens I have been using.
The Canon site says it's a 16-29mm equivalent.
So good call!
