    Actually 1st 5th was offering 5.25% last summer. I've got two maturing...one this month...one in Dec. Wells Fargo also had 5+% 6 month CDs

    T-Bills

    I do both...enticing local bank rates CDs/money markets and T-bills. Plus a 38 yr old 401K that's always been heavy into stocks. Works for us

    Wife and I both started at 62...I actually retired at 60 drawing my pension. Longevity is not a thing in my family...I'm 70 now and turn 71 next month. I'm the oldest in my family. Thankfully we haven't had to dip into our 401K or investments yet. Gonna hate when required withdrawals kick in

  20. Finances for retirement

    Retired 5 yrs ago at age 60...my wife three yrs ago. We are both the same age. Living comfortably on one pension and two SS checks per month. Haven't touched any investment accounts yet. All are aggressive investments still and doing very well. We owe zero...house is paid.
