    There are freakish microclimates and unusual genetics that when combined can break all the rules but mostly the rules are going to apply.

    Be sure to purchase dwarf or semi-dwarf trees for faster maturity. They will bear in 2-4 years versus 4-7 years for standard trees.

    I think some of the bagged soils and bulk compost are low in minerals and trace nutrients. On gardening with Leon’s YouTube channel he recommends sea minerals to correct this deficiency. For all I know miracle grow may contain all that. Would weigh the results. I probably would add calcium but...

    I don’t see why not. If you are using sea minerals they probably contain a fair amount of calcium as well.

    I apply at transplant By dusting . DE is almost pure calcium. Calcium deficiency being the cause of blossom end rot the DE is absorbed Both through the foliage and through the roots as it washes into the soil solving the nutrient deficiency.
