Years ago my dad traded a Ruger Single Six with a 4.5" barrel to a guy for his with a 7.5" barrel. My dad thought it sounded funny when he pulled the hammer back but the guy said it just needed to be cleaned. My dad sent it back to Ruger to have it cleaned, he was happy when he got it back...
Scales are the flat panels that attach to grips. For example, a 1911 has a grip and two scales. The grip is the part of the frame you hold onto. An AR uses replaceable grips, they attach to the lower receiver with one bolt.
The hammer broke years ago, the 1911 is actually a metal replica made in Japan. The Colt mag actually is a real Colt mag that was put in the grip, it fit. The mag had bad feed lips on it and was pretty much worthless.
My friend sold a gun to a gun hop years ago. The dealer put into his personal collection and kept it. I day my friend got a call from the GBI asking about the 40 cal Glock he owned. Told who he sold it to and asked why they called him. Turns out the dealer killed his wife with it.
Yeah, learned that a long time ago.
When you list a Benelli M2 Tactical for $900 and you get an offer for $475 it made me wonder. I did end selling it it for $750. Wished I kept it now.
I always list mine for more than I will sale it for, people always want a deal when they buy something. If you list a Glock for sale and want $400 for it ask $500. That way when you get an off for $300 you say how about we meet in the miidle.
