My gun out of sight in a locked truck IS secure. Same as the ones in my house.
I wonder: if my truck was stolen and a stabbing occurred with the hunting knife from the door pocket, would I get the same lecture?
I will say I understand the higher trade value than sale price. Mainly because no matter how many times I say no trade, at least one person will offer something to trade. Trade value is higher because I don’t want to trade but if you insist, it has to have a benefit.
No different than if...
Agreed. If I’m interested in a gun, I already have an idea of how I want it set up. And most of the time, even decent optics are in sh*t mounts so they’re still more headache than they’re worth.
Not a matter of hate for me, just doesn’t serve a purpose. Why would I want a gun that holds less, recoils more, and costs more to feed while providing no notable ballistic improvement?
I feel the same way about about 357 Sig and 45ACP when comparing the same platforms so it’s not just a 40 thing.
As a current Toyota Tacoma owner and having owned all brands at some point, I will say that Toyota guys are among the worst. Don’t even mention a 22R engine to one or you’ll be there for hours listening to them gush over it.
I understand the “trade in my favor”. I almost exclusively sell, not wanting to trade because I know the one item I’m wanting probably won’t be offered. However, no matter how many times I put “sale only”, someone wants to trade. Hence, if you’re so bent on trading instead of buying, it’s gotta...
I remember when it was the “cool thing” to LIKE 40. It was a fad that stuck around cause agencies adopted it for a while.
They’ve learned better but some of us knew better from the start.
I’d like to note up front, I own neither a 41Magnum or 10mm, so I’m just making conversation, not trying to stir up anything.
They definitely overlap (much like 9mm and 357) but when loaded to their full potentials, they’re quite a bit apart (also much like 9mm and 357). 41Mag shows a full 52%...
