    Agreed they are not in the business of valuing guns, but some of the tenured curators should know who is. At least that's my theory and where I would start. Now I am hooked on wanting to know more about these firearms.

    There used to be several "Old Timers" in that area that were experts on C & R's but that was over 15 years ago when I lived there. Some of the old school exhibitors at Gun Shows know their stuff. They are around, you'll just have to network your way to them. If your Dad was trying to collect one...
