the double homicide I was involved in was in my half million dollar home, gated "safe" neighborhood. Where I walk my dogs and my kids play. There's nowhere safe.
I hike with a minimalist IWB. I can walk quick but more than a jog means it’s too much weight and will pull down my shorts if I’m not wearing a solid belt.
Fanny pack carry actually makes sense here
Check with them about it, but you will erode the blast break if you do one and/or baffles more quickly. That’s without a failure.
I got an MG7k for my rattler and it’s good enough. Rated for whatever. Maybe go with something like that?
Another option if you’re really concerned about it is to...
Historically Fusion parts were good, full guns not always. They got a bad rep with competition shooting about 20 years ago. I had a full custom 2011 built on fusion parts (by somebody else) and it was perfect.
That said, @kodis556 is your 10mm a Ruger?
@UH60Driver
I also don’t shoot as often as I’d like due to cost and time constraint. That’s why when I get the chance to shoot, I want to shoot something I enjoy. Just back from Governors Kennesaw and put another bunch of rounds through the alchemy. At 7 yards they were going through the same...
@David Postell
I'm a 1911/2011 guy and have been for years. I've owned everything from the Taurus mentioned (and RIA, springer gi, etc) on the low end, all the way up to Baers, Alchemy, STI, for factory builds and a few fully custom bespoke 2011s. At the end of the day the lower end versions...
Because they bought them when they were "new hotness" and they aren't anymore. They are no longer the bargain basement 2011 thanks to MAC/TISAS and they are not high end either.
Also most people that shoot, shoot 100 rounds or so a year, if at all. A 2011 shoots better than a glock or sig or...
Because they spend a lot more on advertising than making a quality gun?
Most of them won’t hold up to serious use. Some of the old ones are fine but they don’t last in high round count situations. Sitting and looking pretty in a sales counter? Sure. But actually running hard not so much...
The Baer in my avatar has 10k+ rounds through it and like 27 of the states un the US have seen this pistol. My competition baer has over 120k through it (stopped counting). the ACW will catch up, just gonna take me a bit.
