525lbs. is not much really when you're talking safes. Get a set of appliance handtrucks , the kind with a strap. You can rent them at the same time you rent the truck. Strap the safe to them and go for it. Just like moving a big ole refrigerator.
It depends on the safe but in most cases yes. No more batteries to go dead. No more circuit boards to go bad. Just the reliability of a good ole fashion dial combination lock.
I've got the +2's on three magazines on my G43 and have had no issues at all. With that being said I borrowed two G43 mags for a class that had the stryke industries extensions on them. They were flawless as well and they're not as pricey.
Lots of liability in moving safes.... $400.00 is not out of line. Moving safes can hurt you..... $400.00 is not out of line Moving safes can kill you.... $400.00 is not out of line
So an FFL in another state can sell me a long gun and I can take it home with me but if I buy it from an individual it has to go through the transfer process ?
I've had two off these , and I'm in the picky and unreliable group. I tried different ammo , made sure they were clean and lubed etc. I finally got rid of them and haven't missed them one bit.
I picked up a M&P 22 Compact and love it.
I'm glad you're getting it worked out. I've been doing work for Winchester for a number of years and they've always been a pleasure to deal with on my end as well.
Even the good locks give problems sometimes. Most issues are keypad related but not always. Sometimes it's the lock itself going haywire.
In the event that a new keypad or fresh hot batteries don't solve the problem it's time to drill.
As for EMP's if that happens your lock is fried...
Over-ride key. When.... not if the lock takes a dump you remove the keypad and that allows you to open the safe with the provided key.
I've said this several times on here before but it's worth repeating. Good quality UL Rated digital safe locks do not come with a malfunction key.
@SafeCracka I do warranty work for Winchester and all the digitals I've ever seen have been Lagard. And to the member wanting a digital with a key... NO don't do it. It comes with an over-ride key for a reason. Guess what that reason is ??
