  1. Cash value / trade value

Because the person would rather have cash, and it seems the other party 99% of the time tends to inflate the value of what they are wanting to trade also. If you are wanting to trade me something I really don't have an interest in, I'm gonna make sure to come out ahead some if I'm not gonna get...

  3. How long does it normally take for your FFL to inform you that your firearm has arrived?

I don't see that at all, maybe rarely. Guess because I stay out of stores that try to charge 300 bucks more than other gunshops for the same item. Once you figure in shipping, possible cc fees, and transfer cost, most of the time I come up with prices more than the what a brick and mortar store...
  4. Dating Remington Firearms

The letter prefix in front of the serial number can give you a ballpark, but not as accurate as the barrel code.
  5. Dating Remington Firearms

not really when you look and the features and differences as they advanced over the years. They also started putting letters in front of serial numbers and that can help tell you which year it was made once you have narrowed it down to a few possibilities running the barrel code numbers.
  6. How long does it normally take for your FFL to inform you that your firearm has arrived?

The horror you have to wait a couple days. The problem is folks like you that see that delivery notice and run to the store, heck they haven't even checked the gun in yet. People are so impatient. And that's another reason you are seeing FFL fees creep up, folks come in and expect them to stop...
  7. 10/22 Porn

Ruger put these sites on some of the 10/22s from the factory. The plain jane 10/22 compacts came with them I know.
  8. S&W Response 9mm carbine

Held one the other day, reminds me exactly of the 15-22. Just as plastic. I guess they can charge 3-400 bucks more simply because it shoots 9mm. I don't get it, just get a ruger pcc, better quality and less money.
  9. 10/22 Trigger

Plus your factory trigger, you used to get an entire trigger assembly with the teir 2 package for 100 bucks shipped and keep your factory trigger. Those days are gone. I had a basic 3 done and it was 60 bucks when all said and done, can find a bx for that with a little looking, used to get the...
  10. 10/22 Trigger

My xring came with a bx Brimstone used to be the ticket, but his prices have gone way up and there are a lot other options now once you figure in his services and shipping, etc.
  11. What’s your favorite gun you bought this year?

Really had fun with the Ruger PCC.
  12. Suggestions for a bolt action 22..?

They make the T in a sporter barrel, they all aren't heavy. I have one, and could probably be talked out of it.
  13. My 8 year old wants a new deer rifle for Christmas

8yo shooting a liteweight 3006, great choice, great choice. I saw we go ahead and bump this kid up to a 300 ultra mag while we are at it.
  14. My 8 year old wants a new deer rifle for Christmas

I'm talking from experience, got a 14 and 11 yo that having been killing deer since they were 6 with numerous different rifles/calibers. A 6.5 is too much for a kid his age in my opinion, especially with that stock. You can be hard headed if you like. I'm looking out for the kid, not you. We all...
  15. My 8 year old wants a new deer rifle for Christmas

Very nice gift, just be prepared. A 6.5 in a youth sized wood stock is going to stomp an 8yo unless its a very very big and tough 8yo. You dont want a recoil shy kid. Dont know if there are any reduced loads for the creed out there but I would check into them if you are going to go this route.
  16. Anybody pocket carry daily ? What gun and why ?

Yea, I just picked up the 21a threaded, $440. It's a hoot to shoot though, especially with a can on it.
  17. What is your least favorite firearm you’ve ever owned or been issued?

Old early 90s mossberg 835, especially with 3 1/2in 2 1/4oz federal no6 turkey loads. Hell on a turkey, hell on my shoulder and cheek.
  18. What is your least favorite firearm you’ve ever owned or been issued?

The mk iiis are great once you get rid of that magazine disconnect
  19. Ruger sickness

I should have bought one of those when I had the chance, I'm seeing them go for close to 900 now
