They are in Duluth. Never said they were involved with Bersa, was just mentioning another relatively new to the market 1911 manufacturer, that happens to be local.
From what I've seen of their other products, I wouldn't buy one. There is another company that has a local facility producing 1911s and 2011s in Duluth, Alpha Foxtrot, but from what I've seen of their pricing and what I've heard of their QC I'd steer clear of them too.
I recommend Tisas and RIA to people over a Kimber every time. Owned 3 and would never own another. Hell, for what they charge for some of their models, you could buy a Dan Wesson instead and have a WAY better gun for the price.
You prob know more than I do about it, but 8.6 with 1 in 3 twist, at least from everything I read requires solid, monolithic projectiles, which I would think would severely limit ammo options and costs.
From what I've heard, SAAMI specs for 8.6 are already written and set and will be announced at Shot Show this year. Supposedly, SAAMI spec is going to be 1 in 5 twist.
Long story short, I had some interest in getting an 8.6 blackout and suppressing it. While doing some Googling on the caliber I came across a couple of threads on snipers hide forum that made me reconsider and made mention of 375 Raptor as a caliber that basically does the same thing better, but...
I have worked in shipping and receiving for a high volume store. There are a lot of factors involved in how soon it gets logged and the customer notified. Most of which were already covered by @cmshoot.
The store I worked at, which I won't name here, typically scheduled less people to work than...
I bought a barely used Ruger GP100 from Guns.com for a dang good price when I couldn't find that particular model anywhere else. Shipping was pretty quick and zero issues.
I had only one issue with the 460 I owned, but was easily resolved. I broke the red loctite on the screw holding the yoke on the gun. That was probably due to some very spicy reloads I made. Wish I hadn't sold that gun, but I'm not willing to pay what they want now for a new one.
Rumors of...
Sweet! I'm pretty sure you'll like it. Looks like mine before I added a bunch of upgraded parts. I started with just wanting to rid it of the ambi safety. Eventually decided to make a Sign Nightmare Carry clone without the external extractor the Sig has.
30-06. Don't remember the model. Some guy brought two different ones in to the range I worked at a couple years ago and left them there for us to sight in the scopes. This was surprisingly not an uncommon practice.
The first one I sighted in wasn't bad at all. No issues whatsoever.
The second...
Not really sure what my next gun purchase will be at the moment. Just bought a CZ 75D PCR that is still in route to FFL and I'm also still waiting on a Caspian 1911 frame and slide for a build.
