    New bolt, carrier, and barrel at a glance. I would think new rails welded in for x39 ejector. With it being blowback the block would probably have to be drilled for gas port. The front trunnion might need to be replaced, need locking lugs for the x39 bolt. Easier to buy a x39 draco and sbr.

    Century Arms I believe is mostly responsible for this myth. Century had used some 5.56 barrels on some tantal builds and some of their M74 builds. Out of a dozen or more 5.45 rifles I’ve owned I have never experienced tumbling or keyholing.

    Building an ak requires a sizable investment in tools, jigs etc. Not cost efficient to build just one rifle. I assembled an ar at my kitchen table with a completed lower with $100 worth of tools. Huge difference in time and money building ak’s versus assembling ar’s.

    5.45 is a great round. Had little trouble hitting a silhouette steel target pushing 385 with a slr104, iron sights. I’ve owned more than a dozen 5.45 rifles, some I built, and never had keyholing or accuracy issues. What amazes me is I doubt 2 in every 10 ak owners own a sight tool and properly...

    Vector Arms Polish Underfolder. Nib Browning Auto 5 Mag 20, was never gonna shoot it but I did enjoy opening the box and looking at it from time to time.

    Interesting vid on the 30-06. Hunted with the 06’ since I was 15 until I made the switch to a muzzleloader. Never lost a single deer I hit with it. What’s the ODT’s thoughts on it?
