  1. 1911 Full Length Guide Rod???

Some of the recent 1911’s can’t use GI parts. My Springfield RO Compact has a proprietary guide rod with a take down tool.
  2. guns.com, is this site legit???

I’ve bought from them a couple of times. No issues at all. They even offer warranty on some used guns.
  3. Your favorite deer to larger game hunting rifle.

I’m old fashioned as I really like steel and wood and classic cartridges. Here is my 1922 Brazilian Mauser in 7x57. Got another one being built by my gunsmith in 275 Rigby (fancy name for 7x57). Also have my rebarreled Portuguese Vergueiro in 7x57.
  4. Air rifle

I recently rebuilt my Hy-Score 808 that I had when I was a mere lad of 8 or 10 years ol…. Some 60+ years ago. Parts were very hard to find, but I eventually got it together. It is based on the Diana 15.
  5. Air rifle

I’ve got one listed that I got from the CMP. It has been rebuilt by them and is very accurate. I’m selling it because I wanted something a little more powerful. Ended up with a Beeman R7. It’s quite a bit more expensive, but worth it...
  6. anyone order from guns.com ?

My Mini-14 was used by “certified” . It was shipped quickly and was double boxed like the CMP does. It looks almost new, not bad for a stainless synthetic stock $900 rifle.
  7. anyone order from guns.com ?

Ordered twice… no problems what so ever.
  8. 1911 gunsmith work?

Still would have to cut or mill the frame and relocate the housing pin.
  9. Classic Firearms

I like Guns International. Recently purchased a Ruger SR1911 in 10mm that Cabelas in Minnesota had listed. I called them and purchased it after they said they could ship it to Bass Pro in Macon for the pickup. That saved me a transfer fee. Found a Winchester M1 Carbine listed by Classic Firearms...
  10. Classic Firearms

Back when Classic would have a table at Eastman’s gun show in Macon, I purchased several milsurp rifles and a nice stainless Ruger Service Six 357 that was a police turn in. At least I was able to hold them for inspection. My main issue with Classic is their misrepresentation of the condition...
  11. Classic Firearms

Ok…I bought an Inland M1 Carbine from them in early January. It was sold as NRA Good, but that must have been before the Ethiopian goat wagon dropped it in the desert. It was nasty with a very worn out bore. My FFL dealer tried to talk to them about it, to no avail. They refused to exchange it...
  12. Classic Firearms

    Classic in Macon?
  13. The New Smith And Wesson CSX, Any Interest?

Being a 1911 user for 50 years, the CSX has enough features to interest me. Don’t care for polymer DA. striker fired autos. I did carry a S&W M39 when they came out, mainly due to its lightweight advantage. Didn’t keep it very long though. Don’t think those who were brought up on Glocks will...
  14. 1911 Experts Needed

Definitely an old school set-up. Back in the day Essex was the way to go.
  15. Marlin 336 Hammer spur

Be aware there are several different widths of these. Hammers were changed as production continued.
  16. Favorite CCW?

In two years time, I’ve gone from an Officers Model 45, to a Sig P320SC, to a Sig P365, and finally settled on a Sig P938. Think I’ll stay with it.
  17. First time taking a gun to a gun show.

I usually make a small flag sign that slides into the barrel showing my price or trade options.
  18. 35 Remington

I like the 35 Remington enough to have one built on a SR Mauser action. It’s set up for cast 220 grain boolits.
  19. Georgia Weapons Carry License Renewal

Monroe County is also very efficient and Nice!
