    You're good to go during daylight hours. At night however you could wind up in a bag. The gunshows ALWAYS suck here unless you make a parking lot deal.

    I have been through several models mentioned, overwhelming favorite is a well seasoned blued model 29. The 69 felt nice but I just couldn't connect.

    Had several Colt defenders and officer models. I have not owned one yet reliable enough to trust for CC, two straight back from Colt service. I also had a C3 sig that wouldnt run either. No more short 1911s for me.

    I would say no. While the gun will surely withstand limited use of plus P, it would be no fun to shoot and will accelerate wear and tear. JMHO
