  2. Galil ACE vs Modernized AK

I think the 13" galil ace would be my best bet. I wish the pistol/sbr crap wasn't currently hitting the fan
  3. Galil ACE vs Modernized AK

I do want to shoot suppressed. I know I'd get the KNS piston either way
  4. Galil ACE vs Modernized AK

I'm contemplating the idea of getting a duty rifle in 7.62x39 that takes AK magazines. Should I get a Galil ACE or get a good AK like a ZPAP and modernize it?
  5. Identification help please - Something Mauser-ish

  6. Winchester Xpert 22lr Bolt Gun

https://www.sportsmans.com/shooting-gear-gun-supplies/rifles/winchester-xpert-gray-bolt-action-rifle-22-long-rifle-18in/p/1739163 These are new. Like the wildcat but bolt action. I've been thinking of getting one and having the barrel cut to 16" and threaded. Or should I get a CZ 457 Scout? Any...
  7. BELT FED SAW discussion/ locating accessories.

The black drums always fall out of the dovetail when you tilt the 249 to the left... don't use those
  8. Need a gun belt repaired any ideas where to take it?

I've used Groover's shoe repair shop before on to stitch up gun stuff. They do good work
  9. Army’s Next Generation Squad Weapon and it's 6.8mm Ammo

Do y'all think this is going to make 6.5 creedmoore and 6mm ARC even more obscure?
  10. Army’s Next Generation Squad Weapon and it's 6.8mm Ammo

Whenever it is available on the civilian market, the ammo for these rifles is going to be very expensive due to the hybrid case design. I'm not sure what barrel and parts service life will be, but the pressure on the 6.8x51 is supposed to be very high. That's why they had to use a steel case...
  11. Army’s Next Generation Squad Weapon and it's 6.8mm Ammo

Army has its head up its ass. The 6.8x51 recoils significantly more than 5.56. We literally switched from the 7.62x51 in the standard infantry rifle to the 5.56x45 so soldiers could carry more ammo and fire controllably in full auto. We learned in WW1 that engagement distances were not going to...
  12. Cleaning Up Heavily Tarnished .303 British Ammo

The powder will not break down by vibration. It would not be fit for military use if it did. If you've ever been in a military vehicle, those things bounce and rattle around a ridiculous amount even on paved roads
  13. Cleaning Up Heavily Tarnished .303 British Ammo

I bought a bunch of Greek HXP .303 British ammo off of Gunbroker that was not stored properly and the cases are heavily tarnished and corroded. I cleaned two of them up with a dremel and fired them through one of my rifles; they went off just fine. After looking at the inside of the cases, there...
  14. Elmer Keith: 1899-1984

I'm glad my 1903 was inspected by him
  15. Winchester Model 12 Question

My winchester model 12 does not have a hole there, so I assume nothing factory goes there
  16. WMD BCG or Wilson Combat BCG

I like hard chrome. The steel used to make the bolt, extractor spring, and QC is more important than the finish.
  17. Hodge Defense M855A1 EPR barrels

The marines were smart to not adopt it. M855A1 is essentially it's own chambering. The same minds that thought up the UCP camo pattern probably designed the M855A1 as well.
  18. Favorite 22lr pistol?

2 guys on my shooting team have Glock 44s. They were jam o matics, even with good ammo that worked in other 22lr guns.
  19. Favorite 22lr pistol?

Beretta M9 22lr. 15 round magazine capacity. Fits the same holster as my M9A3. Has never jammed. Same take down as any 92 series Beretta. Great trainer that is fun to shoot.
