I see a lot of awesome rifles on this board. Where are you shooting these rifles people? I'm looking for a 100 yard range to shoot my wee little 22 rifle. Or just some land that would be safe and suitable. I live in Walton/gwinnett area
I've never had a problem with any of my wasr aks. Granted the fit and finish was never superb, the weapon always functioned properly. Sounds like you may have had a bad luck string.
Mine was a ruger lcp. Hated its trigger and could barely hold onto the lil bugger.
No upgrades are required. Just "fun." My only advice would be to find the cheapest military surplus Ammo you can find and stock up. My wasr has handled every kind of cheap, crappy ammo I have fed it. So paying MUCH more for the good ammo is IMO not worth it for a cheap AK. Have fun!
Dang. I paid 350 for mine and it came with 7 steel 30rd mags. But this was off the odt last year and used. But regaurdless, the gun is a blast to shoot and I'm sure you will love it.
Used guns = no government paper trail. I know people who refuse to buy new guns for this reason alone. Also when I price something at $500, I'm really expecting $425.
I love an sks but you don't want someone elses hackjob. You never know who did the work on that sks and from your description they were probably less than qualified. Hate to say it but I'd say saiga on this one. Although I saw an unmolested sks in the classifieds of this site for 285 if I...
Wolf steel cased is a good, cheap, non corrosive choice. Military surplus brass cased is also good but can be very corrosive. I clean my rifles very often so it's not a problem for me but to each his own. Just bought a sealed case of 1260 military surplus brass cased for 250 shipped from jg...
I carry 9mm. it may not have the stopping power of a 45 but will easily get the job done. On the other hand I like the fact that I have 18 rounds to eliminate a threat(or multiple threats) instead of ten. Get approached by 6 gang members with knives Id like to know I have more than enough for...
http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=%2F&gl=US#/watch?xl=xl_blazer&v=nYHJm2P4kP0. When I had my 22/45 this video saved me a trip to the gunsmith. They can be a real pain the first couple times you reassemble. This well solve your problems hopefully. Good luck man.
Have owned and carried my sr9 for about a year now. Trigger was not very nice at first but for under 25 bucks ghost makes a trigger bar reset that makes the trigger one of the nicest I have shot. I have put well over 1000 rounds through mine with very minimal barrel peening. Zero feeding or...
