I agree with you I had one back in1987 super accurate using open sights, sold it stupidly and wanted one ever since finally bought one on gun broker love it 1981 model. Would like to have a HK93 to pair up, or a SCAR 17S, I also have a SCAR16S. Germans knew how to build a quality firearm.
I have had several of them, love them they are very accurate, love the cocked and locked feature. I have one for sale now, night sights, 2 mags and 2 holsters. $475.
Just like any gun only as accurate as the one pulling the trigger. I have 2 one Black one FDE had a PS90 loved it also. Ammo is being made by others now ammo can be had for about the same price as .22 mag now.
Yes, most collectors have at one time or another, depends on 2 things to me, one am I going to keep it or resell at some point, second see #1. If you don't mind possibly losing some money on both ends go for it.
Most dealers put them on gun broker to maximize their profits. They tell you they haven't seen any but in many cases they have or had them but put them on gun broker.
