My wife likes the Crossbreed belly band. No belt to worry about, and it has kydex to really secure the gun. http://www.crossbreedholsters.com/Product/Modular-Belly-Bands
While I never shot anything over the light ball ammo in the old PSL, the guy I bought it from had a couple more and he said that he shot the heavy ball no problem. I do hear the recoil buffer is nice for the PSL regardless, and was planning on getting one before I sold it!
PSA had an upper come in stock. No BCG/CH. Thought I'd share the info for those looking.

I disagree with the 30-06 comparison. I had a Savage 110 in 30-06 that had some nice recoil. Couldn't shoot more than 12 rounds or so without being pretty tender the next day. With mosins, I've shot several rounds in 91/30's and m44's without much discomfort. The short barrel on that remington...
Either one works great. I chose the Marlin personally because I prefer the tube fed. With higher capacity ruger mags, they can get in the way when prone or trying to rest the rifle. This can be somewhat overcome by aftermarket accessories, but I prefer KISS logic. I nabbed a Spee-D-Loader- which...
Yep, they can get pretty warm! The MOE handguards I got perform a lot better than the stock ones as far as cooling goes. I really like their design on that- really channels the air upward to cool off the barrel.
Yep, you give them $0.68-$0.90, they give you a penny back to auction. It's a killer profit maker, and a 'good deal' for the winner of the item (sometimes, if they don't bid a lot and happen to win.) I wish I was makin all that profit!
Eh penny auctions... it's hard for me to trust them. I signed up after reading your post, to get some free bids. First eyebrow raiser, is the number of feminine bidder names... "flower" and "island girl"... just strikes me as odd seeing the merchandise for there to be a majority of females...
I have a few, only had one break a lip as I tapped on the bottom to seat it in the AR. Haven't had a malfunction with any of the rest, feed and function fine. For plinking, they're good, but personally I wouldn't trust my life to one.
Edit: Also, they did replace the magazine under their...
I really enjoy the PSL. Shoots well for me. Nice trigger, never had a malfunction. Looks pretty cool, too :) I would think the VEPR would be a good choice as well!
