    If your serious look for a Norinco 1911a. Solid platform and built to colt specs. Parts are interchangeable some spec builders use them as custom base. Usually run in your price range. After that I would go with a colt 70 or 80 but price jumps

    If I was you I would start with a search on GB Then progress to a wide remington site I picked up a model to years ago It had a distinct marking mine is a model 10R you could try looking up a model 10 and seeing what it says replaced it Good Luck
