  2. 12.5" AR in 7.62 (308)?

    I have had 2 of their barrels. 1st was a 16" 6.8 SPC and the chamber was out of spec, split every case I fired. So it was sent back. 2nd WC barrel I still have is 16" 300 BO and she is rock steady. Even the good ones have an off day every now and then.

    I greatly appreciate it, but we are a fair distance apart. I may just build a 6.8 SPC pistol as I am already set up to shoot and reload for that caliber and I currently do not own any 308s. Still rolling it around.

    PRI makes solid 6.8 SPC mags, but I haven't bitten the bullet and bought any as of yet. LWRC gear is top shelf, but comes with a super hefty price tag. I built the 2 I have (Bushmaster barrel in 1 anf Shaw barrel in the other) and run ASC and Barrett mags with good success.

    A 12.5" 308 isn't something I have to have, but was an idea. I have a couple 300 BO rifles, and they are great, but It seems to me a 12.5" 308 would have more power and thump than 300 BO 16". I figured it would be incredibly loud and concussive. Perhaps I'll see if I can hunt one up to try...

    16" is the shortest semi auto I have ever fired in 308. 12.5" is intriguing simply for the maneuverability and weight reduction, but not sure the blast and concussion are worth the benefits.

    Been doing a bit of research here lately on 12.5" AR platform in 308. Never messed with one, but liking the concept. I am sure the noise and concussion would be strong, but anyone here have any experience with one? Thought it might make a solid walking around the woods rifle during deer season...

    I harvested a huge doe and 2 good size hogs last hunting season with 6.8 SPC SPC II. All were one shot stops and all the animals dropped on the spot (doe 50 yard shot, hogs were 80-90 yards). Been shooting it for years, but 1st animals I've taken with the caliber. 120 grain factory Hornady SST...

    Overwatch Precision Poly or Aluminum DAT or TAC. Non-adjustable with NP3'd factory trigger bar, flat faced trigger shoe with wider face allowing for better purchase, and just so nice 👌 IMO

    I completely understand. I listed 3 stainless M77s the other day for the same reason. One will be rehomed within the next week, but the other 2 alas didn't find their way anywhere 🤷‍♂️
