A trick that helped be get used to both eyes open, after years a bad habit shooting, was to put scotch tape over my weak eye shooting glasses. It helps with the double vision and gets you use to shooting the right way. Practice makes perfect.
Glock 19 in a g-code Haley holster, in the appendix position, right up front and center. I carry a glock 17 mag in a pocket holster by DeSantis, either back pocket or front support side every time I leave the house.
Nobody has ever even looked twice.
Not sure how far north you are but just across the ga state line in North Carolina off of spur 60 is a national forest shooting range. Panther top shooting range. It is pretty nice, you can put up any sort of targets you want and there is almost never anyone there is you try to go on off hours...
If you think "it will be a waste", I don't think you have really thought about what it means to carry everyday, or have to blow someone's f'in head off if you had to. I would say don't carry then.
I have shot 45 acp for years now, I love the round but edc 9mm. This is how I see it. They all look pretty close, sure a bigger pc of lead makes a slightly bigger hole. I would rather have 19 rounds over 10.
I think glock even says to replace the recoil spring assembly every 1000 rounds. All your take down pins will go "out of round" with a worn out recoil spring. FYI
