We are going to try to be there first thing in the morning. Bringing a friend I used to work with. I believe he is a member here, but no idea what his username is.
No prob. You got my number. Work is stupid easy if you don't mind driving a bit and gas is reimbursed. I can get you straight into an interview and just about guarantee you a job if you want it. Schedule is pretty flexible too and we don't work every day.
2 weeks later is July 4th weekend. I'm good to go whenever. They still seem to be stocking a lot less trout than they did before covid. The few times I've been this year, the fishing has been ok, but nowhere near what I am used to.
I had a great time as usual. It would be nice if they would go back to stocking twice a week, but it is what it is. The food and the company was great. Hopefully next year we wont have to be so spread out as far as campsites.
Lol, I have a lot of firewood I can bring. I'm not 100% certain if I'm heading up tomorrow either, but I'm going to try.
My new truck is pretty hard to miss, so you shouldnt have a problem finding me if I make it up there first.
I'm planning to head up either Thursday afternoon or by first light Friday morning. Hopefully we will get lucky and there wont be as many people up there as the last 2 times I went.
I did end up going this morning. Stopped at that spot on the toccoa on the way up and caught a good many. Went by rock creek for a couple hours and it was pretty empty. I still managed to catch 5 there, but it took some effort. Absolutely terrible compared to what I'm used to at rock creek...
They used to do that for the first half of the season, if they havent started doing it by now, I'm not holding my breath expecting then to do it at any point this season, especially since they arent doing the events at the hatchery again this year.
