  1. Long Guns in Lockers for LEO Use at Schools

On a side note I noticed you posted a pic of an actual newspaper. I assume it was delivered to your home. I briefly considered getting the 3 day weekend edition of the Macon Telegraph last year since you know, its nice to have a Sunday paper to read with black coffee. Well then I saw the price...
  2. Long Guns in Lockers for LEO Use at Schools

Yeah I would NOT wanna be the poor old bastard the media and school system nailed to the cross after doing what they were asked to do.
  3. Long Guns in Lockers for LEO Use at Schools

There absolutely should. And my original thoughts comments way back when were based on faculty members and or staff members I just assumed would be comfortable taking on such a responsibility. Lots of knowitall types don't want teachers armed in the classroom. AND...LOTS of teachers are hard...
  4. Long Guns in Lockers for LEO Use at Schools

A while back I suggested something vaguely similar to this. My thoughts were to arm say the principal in their office and possibly whatever head coach in their office. Simple setup of 2 or 3 long guns. Like say an 870 or Mossberg 500 and a Mini 30 or my personal pick an M1 Carbine. All easy to...
  5. Hostage rescue shot with a 12ga

Well I aint one that ever doubted it's power. I just thought that one stray flyer could be bad news for the hostage. But obviously they did the math and all the homework on the Hornady rounds you mentioned. Not to mention what type of barrel/choke involved.
  6. Hostage rescue shot with a 12ga

I don't know. When I saw the different angles of the video I was gonna ask if it was a slug? Cuase from what I saw it was immediate results.
  7. For the "snubbers"

I agree with your comments. It reminds me of one of the Bibb Co Sheriffs from the early 90s. He hated Glocks and that's why I think they're still using Smiths. But that's not the point. This particular old head sherriff told the higher ups he wanted to remove the rear sights from duty pistols...
  8. Don’t F with guns if you don’t know what you’re doing

Oh well that makes sense. I inherited one of those table top rigs that turns your Dremmel into a drill press. So I should be able to do a real professional hack job on any gun now.
  9. Don’t F with guns if you don’t know what you’re doing

Okay well I never disassemble my G19 any further than field stripping the slide barrel and guide rod. I can see how everything works in the frame but I've never had any reason to remove any of that stuff. So...color me ignorant but what am supposed to see in the pic?
  10. Decent tactical light for AR15 around $50?

I got one from Academy years ago that was a Nebo brand. It came with a sorta generic universal barrel clamp for attaching to a shotgun. I'm sure it was well under $50.00. And the same brand has several different models available.
  11. Anatomy of a flinch, or why I dislike .40

Yeah you could be right. It seems kinda like a torque vs horsepower thing between 40 and 45/10mm. I've only shot a handful of rounds through a 40 and they were all through a Glock. Not a Glock hater but maybe 40 needs a metal/ heavier frame platform to absorb the recoil. I'm.gonna pick up a...
  12. Anatomy of a flinch, or why I dislike .40

Yeah it's tough to hold the phone and shoot at the same time. I tried it a while back shooting my 91/30 Mosin. Maybe the flinch thing is all mental. Well hell, of course it is. Anyway they are mechanically the same pistol. So it seems like you could figure out the 40. Granted I have very little...
  13. vehicle long gun?

I like your SKS shotgun combo. You don't have to worry about beating on an SKS . Well at least it used to be that way. My only gripe with them is weight and somewhat the length. So if you could find one that's not priced insanely I'd go with a paratrooper model with the old Chinese Star 20 round...
