If your looking through what you suspect to be an empty building for supplies and spook somebody squating in it and want a little bit of an edge, I don't think it would be a bad thing to toss one in a room and give them something else to focus on for a second
I kind of like the fact that it has two charges, the first one is a dummy so if someone sees it in time to cover his ears or something, it catches them by surprise, and the second explosion with the sparks will disorient for sure
You can use the little party poppers to make a pull string igniter and add matchheads or make flash powder to give it more to get the fuse started consistantly
Has anyone ever looked at using fireworks mortars as a flashbang? Really only makes sense to use indoors, is it worth trying to contain the sparks to avoid starting fires?
