What if she's really really nice to me?
  2. Anyone on here ever worked armed security at a Nuke plant?

I would be surprised if I didn't have to sign a ND. It is run by a 3rd party vendor. Used to be Wackenhut like @rockyfatcat mentioned earlier. Then I believe it was G4S. It's now run by Allied.
  3. Anyone on here ever worked armed security at a Nuke plant?

They do and for boats on the Mississippi river. At orientation they taught us about those reactors and how tough and safe they are! You can apparently fly a passenger jet into one without concern for it reaching the reactor. They showed us this video:
  4. Anyone on here ever worked armed security at a Nuke plant?

I start training on Monday so not sure yet. I do have a buddy that worked the same job a few years ago and was told MP 9mm sidearm (yuk), FA AR (He said either DD, Colt, or that they still had a bunch of Bushmasters left and one off brand local company here in MN that I've never heard of before...
  5. Anyone on here ever worked armed security at a Nuke plant?

I've never heard of them before. Tell her LocumTenens.com of Jackson & Coker are always hiring and they have that fancy new building in Alpharetta.
  6. Anyone on here ever worked armed security at a Nuke plant?

Just a foot in the door my man. Advancement. They don't like to hire outsiders I'm told. A plant operator position with Xcel pays $140K+, they're just on a hiring freeze right now so figured this would be a good start just to get in there.
  7. Anyone on here ever worked armed security at a Nuke plant?

I’m leaving that to carry a machine gun at $18/hr lol. Life! I don’t care. Ready for a change and this job sounds fun.

Do you mind if I ask which company? Small community with lots of agencies in the ATL area.
  9. Anyone on here ever worked armed security at a Nuke plant?

Lot of hours but pays well if you’re good. $100 - $180K per year for a good recruiter is pretty norm.
  10. Anyone on here ever worked armed security at a Nuke plant?

I worked in healthcare staffing; placed doctors for a living. Moved home and now live in the sticks. I can't stand working remotely and don't want to commute to the cities ... kinda best option right now, but TOTAL change.
  11. Anyone on here ever worked armed security at a Nuke plant?

I was just hired on as an armed security officer at the Nuke plant here. TOTAL change of career. I've been in professional sales the last ten years, now I get to carry a machine gun . It's not my end all dream job, but it's a job, sounds like fun, 10-15 minutes from my house and it's a...

I'm glad we're talking about this though. So many guys are like, puss, I can shoot a dime 300x at 100m with that set up ... let's be honest, no you can't. I'm thankful for thoughtful answers as I do know how to shoot, this damn .22lr thing has me a bit perplexed though and a bit embarrassed. My...

@wolfmanrogers you are correct, the 556 as fast as it is, much flatter trajectory ... what I'm used to. That damn .22lr has such a steep height and drop it's tough to get used too and I've been shooting them my whole life, just irons though, never an optic. I think that is what has thrown me off.

I just need mine at 25, maybe 50. I lived in Georgia my entire adult life. Moved back home to MN this past year. We have all these pain in the ass red squirrels that are invasive. I want to use this to hunt these sum' of b;'s. My pistol and Marlin do the trick, but I really like shooting my...

Negative Nancy, I’ve only lost one package. They seem to be on point these days. Get insurance though

Awesome response. Thank you Sir! Height over bore. I feel dumb not thinking about that. I bet that’s the reason I like EOTech’s vs that Comp M4’s. Reticle is much lower to the bore. I’m also much more used to shooting 556. I understand at 25, youre shooting up, levels off, then drops. Hence...

I’d actually be open to a FAIR trade for a dedicated .22 scope. Simmons SFP won’t even cover shipping 😂
