I wasn’t going to make this public, but I know there’s quite a bit of us in here that would like to use an outdoor range.
If you don’t mind driving, my Ranger buddy in Barnesville has a private range I use. We both run courses and he lets people books private range time. Plenty steel targets...
Absolutely frickin agree. People have a bad mentality of thinking they deserve something free because they “know you”.
They gladly shell out for a new gun, new vehicle, eating out, new shoes, etc. They’ll go pay a range to shoot hundreds in ammo, out of their numerous firearms… but God forbid...
Understood, and that’s excellent. I just ask because, for some people long range is anything beyond 100 yds. Basic rifleman qual in the Marines is (was) up to 500 yds with iron sights. And I’m a DM, so we trained to 800 with fixed Leupold optics.
A few suggestions:

For an inexpensive carrier, I’d go with Condor. You can spend $40-60 and get a solid one.
Mid price range, check out Shellback.
Upper end, check out Skeletac or Crye.
I have had all the above and love my Skeletac.
Mission dictates the type of firearm, so I have different placards to swap out for different firearms. PCC would be more for a CQB or home defense situation.
