It’s a 5 year apprenticeship school. Very comprehensive. Nothing compares to it.
I work with 72 guys everyday. They do work, and they are sharp as razors.
You can love or hate unions, but the local 72 guys are the best trained welders, pipe/steamfitters around. No contest.
HVAC is a good trade and this is a good opportunity for someone. I hope you find the right candidate. Paying for the EPA certification test is a definite benefit in itself. Having a boss that encourages it is also a benefit.
It is downtown Atlanta, but a good, secure job. If you check in periodically something along your line of work will pop up, eventually. I am certain because I work in the engineering dept.
