  1. Min Post Count for Classifieds

How about 1 post required. A post in which you introduce yourself and affirm that you understand the rules. Anything more than that will either A) make people spam the fool out of threads just to get their post count up - as others have stated, or B) turn people away who are just looking to post...
  2. Small Contest!

When is the cutoff for guesses? $274
  3. It. Is. Finished.

WOW! That turned out beautiful! What a great prize for giveaway day! Here's hoping that it'll be the first thing I've ever won!!!.....
  4. Is there a rule on "bumping" your thread?

Ummmm.... maybe go back and read my original post. I don't believe I mentioned your name in it anywhere. I wasn't being specific to anybody, just the general "bump 3 times a day" crowd. I made no mention of anything you're selling as being overpriced. This thread wasn't created to attack you. In...
  5. Is there a rule on "bumping" your thread?

Yeah I'm just referring to when the OP just posts the word "Bump" over and over again in the thread. Its different if they actually post some new information or edit the listing and submit a new post indicating that the listing has changed. But to open a thread and just see... Bump Bump Bump...
  6. Is there a rule on "bumping" your thread?

I know that you have to wait 3 days to "relist" your item. But most of us use the "What's New" tab, and lately I've noticed a lot of people are "bumping" their ad(s) 3 or 4 times a day. If there is a gun I'm interested in, but don't want to pay the inflated asking price, then I'll open the...
  7. A Members Poll:; Should I receive negative feedback on a non purchase ?

I posted an "I'll take it" on a gun recently. I then realized it wasn't the gun that I thought it was at first glance, but my word is my bond. I bought the gun (even though it wasn't the one I wanted), and reposted it the minute I got home from the deal. I think of an "I'll take it" (without...
  8. 1st Annual Event?

I'm down for just about anything. Any idea of an approximate date yet? We could check out Andretti's in Roswell. I've never been, but I understand they have bowling, indoor go-cart racing, billiards, arcade, basketball, indoor rock-climbing, ropes course, and a bar. Someone told me that you can...
  9. Check out the new ranks!

The updates look awesome, but that Golden Chicken is gonna be darn near impossible to attain......
  10. Stop "Banter" in for sale ads

I'm trying...but it keeps showing up the same size. Maybe the image height is too tall? Help me out here, Steve...I reloaded it using the original URL, then reloaded it twice from my computer, but it isn't getting any bigger (the picture, that is....)? Do I need to crop it down...
  11. Stop "Banter" in for sale ads

I never post banter.................riiiiiiiiight..... Notice that the OP only has 19 posts. If you spend a little more time on the site, I think you'll get to where you really appreciate the banter, kinmanship, and fellowship that takes place and grows here on the ODT. This truly the greatest...
  12. Bill of Sale

I made some a while back. A little simpler. Sale: Trade: Requires a word processer (like MS Word) to open. Can be edited.
  13. What should we do with the listings for sold/traded items?

OR Can we give the OP the option? Upon CLOSING a thread, they are given the choice to either delete it or move it to the "Sold/Traded" forum? Any thread that isn't CLOSED after 45 days is automatically deleted.
  14. What should we do with the listings for sold/traded items?

Leaving them visible in a "sold" forum would be great for research. However, if we do that, I think that we should ask the OP's to leave all of the original info in the ad instead of deleting all of the vital info. If the OP's delete the asking price, caliber, condition, etc. then it wouldn't...
  15. How bout a "non gun friendly business" place

I guess I should clarify that the two paragraphs are two separate lines of thought. The first, pertaining to Taco-Mac, was an attepmt to explain why I think Taco-Mac doesn't allow guns. It is because they are considered a bar (or so I've been told) because their primary revenue is alcohol. As...
  16. How bout a "non gun friendly business" place

If its no joke, then why are you laughing?.....LOL
  17. How bout a "non gun friendly business" place

I think Taco-Mac doesn't allow you to carry because they are considered a bar. They aren't like a Chili's bar & grill. Taco-Mac's main revenue source is alcohol. I'm curious how stores can enforce "rules" that are contrary to "laws"? How can Publix tell me that I can't carry in their store...
