    I believe the legal use of Motorvehicle in the clause of "habitation" is intended to reference recreation vehicles that may be habitable. ie Campers, Motorhomes, houseboats and other similar RVs.

    If they are breaking into your car and you "happen upon them" and their attention is turned to you, I think then the immenent threat portion would take over. I would be careful regarding "I went outside to confront them" as that lends itself to you being the aggressor.
