If you don’t use the full size truck it’s not worth paying to drive it around. I have a Lexus GX460 which is the same frame/suspension as the taco. As long as you’re happy with the interior space it’s worth doing.

I drove 2 2002 Altima’s. Decent cars but both ended up having exhaust/frame rot. Granted this was in Pa and otherwise the cars were fine, but I think I got ~2k trade in back in 2012
I have a 1 year old US General I have used literally every day. Decent enough quality and much nicer than my husky/kobalt stuff. I also have an older American made Craftsman and while good, it's not great. At $10 in a yard sale I'll deal with the slight rust
