Hertz took a huge **** during the pandemic. They've had to offload a ton of vehicles. If that's what they claimed it's probably a desperate attempt to maintain investors.
I like the truck, but it can make a lot of noise that is apparently normal. I tested a few and they all sound like an engine that's about to go out, but that's due to the fuel system and valve timing. Pulled into my driveway tonight, let it roll back to pull into a different spot and when I hit...
Nissan was the other big one in consideration. Good quality trucks that can perform. Also their price is lower and they drop a lot more in price in the used market which is crazy. I was actually looking at Titans too, but the cost was still a bit too much considering I don't really NEED a full...
Dude, I looked for low mileage gen 2 Tacomas and the price is crazy high. Great trucks no doubt, but even my miserly ass will spring 6-7k more for a new one. I understand finding a 2015 with low miles is somewhat hard, but I'm not paying 35k for an 8 year old Tacoma, inflation be damned!
While I understand and agree it's a potential for disaster, there's no doubt that the egr et al systems are detrimental to the engine in comparison to not none at all.
So I might start a new thread asking this question. But since y'all might know, what's the deal with deletes? I know theyve been cracked down on, but could I still do some deletes and just retune/assemble to pass emissions? And If I decided to use it as a farm truck, running cherry juice...
I finally gotta just buy a truck.
I'm looking to spend 35-40k, which I know is a pittance to many modern truck prices.
It'd be great to find one that's newer and maybe has some warranty left. I've surprisingly seen some well fitted Tacoma's around my price point.
I'm certainly open to full...
Not sure if you're still looking given original date of this post, but there is a guy on here w/experience and a few machines and he was looking for people with projects to help out.
Thank you bro. Will do. I guess that makes sense as I checked and replaced the PCV, but honestly didn't check what was related to it lol.
Might not be pressure related at all, but the way the oil is coming out at that particular spot is worrying me a bit.
First pic is pass side which as you can see is fine. Second pic is drivers side. It's a tiny leak/ never hits pavement and burns off. I'm gonna replace gaskets when I can.
My biggest curiosity is to how/ why the oil seems to come out at the bolt. My oil pressure switch just always reads out...
If they total it out they keep the car. He doesn't get both the car and the money. He may be able to buy it back from them and essentially receive less money. He'll then have to get it inspected by the state (should be an easy pass) if he wants to insure it and continue driving it.
Bought a pre cut kit and decided I'd start with the back glass.
It's now a crinkly ball in my trash can. So I'll need some one else to do the tint. I'm just not up for the hassle. Thing is I already have most the tint.
Y'all know anyone who's not outrageously overpriced around my way?
If it happened at a quick lube place you would have driven off and then had to fight them tooth and nail to replace the damage. Instead the only value lost is however much oil hemorrhaged out.
