I learned to drive in a surplus M38A1. I had a 2004 TJ Wrangler Sport that was stolen from my yard 3 days before Thanksgiving in 2015. I finally picked up another one this year. I found a 2017 Rubicon Recon and paid to much but I really like it.
My high school car was a 1965 Mustang with a 289 V8. It even had factory air. We got it used but I don't recall the mileage but it was less than 20,000. It was metal flake dark green. I wish I had it now.
I wouldn't say I am a MOPAR lover but I did have 1970 Roadrunner in the middle 70's that would peg the 140 mph speedometer. The faster you went the higher it seemed to get off the road. Scared myself ****less a few times with it.
I had a brand new 1974 Chevy Monte Carlo 350 but with a 2bbl. That was a sweet ride. My wife, girlfriend at the time, broke a couple of pairs of my sunglasses by sitting down on the bench seat and then sliding up next to me. lol Mine was cream color with a cream 1/4 landau roof.
Mine was a Hodaka 100 in about 1969 and I wore it completely out. I always wanted their later 125cc model called a Combat Wombat. lol This is a pic I found on the web.
Yep, the joke goes: A guy goes into a auto parts store and says to the clerk "I want to get a windshield wiper blade for my Yugo." The clerk looks at him and with a straight face says, "Sounds like a fair trade to me."
Good advice. I personally have regretted selling any guns that I had. Of course, the worst day was when my kayak was torpedoed by a German U-boat causing the loss of all my guns.
We've had both a travel trailer and a class A motorhome over the years. We made several long western road trips with them. One spot that was really cool was spending the night at the campground the Cabelas at Sidney, Nebraska. :)
