Had 275/65-18 at3 before these,got over 60k out of them. Easy decision for another set, tho a bit more aggressive, they are E rated 10 ply 295/70-18. I’m hoping I can get close to that out of these. A bit of road noise slowing around 40-30 but not terrible.
Find a 2wd 2 door and convert it to 4wd. Everything bolts up front axle wise and the hole is in the floor for the tcase. Just find you a 4wd aw4 and tcase.
My vote is for the XJ too. They are fun.

Met a guy at an off-road park that had a 4bt in his tj. Told us the motor mounts worked and it bolted to the nv3550 with no problems. Was running water/meth and claimed 32mpg.
Was a cool swap nonetheless.
Gotta watch for rust in the cj's,mainly because they are 40+ years old. If you can find a clean one that someone has taken care of/restored they are great for toolin around on sat and sun. I wouldn't want to drive one everyday tho. And the 304 was a good motor.
